  1. Big Changes for Cavy Couture in September!

    In October of 2010, I will be going back to unviersity to study for my Chemistry PHD.
    This means that as of September 10th, all "design your own" items will be removed from the shop. C&C Cages, hay racks, and all non-sewn items will continue to be sold until our stock runs out.
    We feel that removing the custom items is necessary, as we will no longer be able to make them ready for dispatch within a couple of days.

    We are currently producing masses of premade items in a huge variety of fabrics, as well as Christmas items for pets and their owners, so there should still be something for everyone! Production of premade items will continue throughout my study, and new premades added as often as possible, and our Christmas section will be open on the 1st September.

    We will continue to dispatch orders for premade items as and when they are received, so there will be no delays on the postage front!

    These changes will come into effect on 10th September, so if you're after cage liners or other custom items, please ensure you order before this date for our usual speedy service!

  2. Cavy Couture Holidays

    Between August 13-15th, we will be away visiting family. Orders can still be placed, but processing will not commence until Monday 16th August. Premade items bought over this weekend will be posted on Monday as usual.
    Orders placed the previous week will still be posted upto and including Friday 13th, so design your own items are the only orders that will be affected.

    Please note that I will only be able to access the internet in the evenings, so email responses will be slower than usual.

  3. House and Hammock Updates

    We are currently updating all of the houses at Cavy Couture!
    Houses and hammocks are no longer available using webbing straps for hanging, as we feel they simply do not last long enough for most small pets. All houses are now available with eyelets, or with eyelets and safety hangers for hanging instead.

    We are also improving the design of our houses - instead of webbing doors, all houses are now available with our new fancy doors, for increased durability and a much nicer look! See the new doors on the mouse house below!

  4. Sale!

    We are pleased to announce a huge new sale, on almost every premade in stock! 20% off lots of beautiful items, all of which are ready to ship, and may never be seen in store again.

    This is in aid of two things - we are having a huge clearout to enable us to add more fabrics to the store to pick from, and also to re-fill our vet fund. Last night, Tesla had to be rushed to the emergency vets with a suspected URI. We are still unsure as to exactly what it is, but he is on strong meds, and is recovering very well. His breathing is completely clear again, and he seems a much happier pig after a very sudden illness. He's even feeling strong enough to perform flying pees at the unfortunate Chiral (a flying pee is exactly what it sounds like - swinging the bum around in the air, in order to get a good aim at Chiral)!

    Keep a close eye on your pigs this summer! Illness can be very sudden, and a pig can deteriorate rapidly between breakfast and dinner times.

  8. C&C Cage News!

    We are now selling large 2 by 5 c&c cages, suitable for three guinea pigs.
    Also on order are two new correx colours for cages and hay racks, and currently under development are some fancy new ramps, to allow access to upper levels!

    We have a temporary shortage on standard grids, but will be getting more in stock on Saturday 19th June!

    Our new bonding pouches have both zip tops and mesh windows, allowing the safe enclosure of your pet, whilst still giving him a fesh air supply, and the ability to nose out of his window!


    We also have new toys for your little ones, named Piggy Pyramids!

    Each piggy pyramid is made of a cotton or fleece outer, and is stuffed with fleecey bedding, so even if your pet rips open his pyramid in excitement, the contents are safe!
